About SlimeTale
SlimeTale runs MapleStory at version 72, a pre-Big Bang build that still includes the Pirate class, fourth job advancement, the Temple of Time and Pink Bean. The advertised rates are modest: 3x experience, 4x quest experience, 2x meso and 1x drop, so character progression stays close to the original pacing while quests are worth a little more than grinding. The site describes the project as classic progression with some modern quality-of-life changes rather than a rebuilt game.
Around the core game it offers a rankings page, a forum, a game wiki and an expeditions section, and a daily vote lottery that pays out mesos to a randomly chosen voter. The homepage shows a live megaphone feed full of party-quest and boss recruitment, which is a useful sign that players are actually using the world. A player counter on the site showed 54 people online at the time of the check.
Players download a client from the site, register on the website and log in through the same account. Anyone interested in v72 specifically, rather than the more common v62 or v83 builds, will find this one of the few servers pitched at that exact revision.
