About Need For Speed: San Andreas
Need For Speed: San Andreas is a long-running MTA:SA gamemode that recreates an arcade street-racing and car-tuning experience inside the GTA San Andreas world. The project runs its own forum, which reports more than 50,000 registered members and thousands of threads, and the staff post news and bug-tracker activity daily. A server update post from August 2026 announced a new car, a beta Vice City map, reworked police challenges and a new challenge system after a long delay.
The forum includes suggestion boards for vinyls, body parts and gamepad support, which reflects a heavy emphasis on car customisation. The server list on the portal showed the main server online with roughly ten players out of 160 slots. Connection details are given on the portal and the project maintains a Discord with several thousand members.
