About OG Galaxy
OG Galaxy is a browser space strategy game inspired by OGame that is built around weekly tournaments and a world championship. The site describes deterministic combat with no randomness, more than twenty ship classes, expeditions for resources, dark matter and rare finds, colonies and moons, alliances, wars and debris recycling, plus new mechanics such as combat drones and a deployable mobile space station. Three playstyle classes are available: Explorer, Miner and General.
A weekly world championship ranking resets periodically, and alliances compete in weekly tournaments with rewards for top leaderboard places. The homepage promotes the first official server launching on a Friday, July 3, without stating the year, so the timing is unclear; the Discord, though, showed hundreds of members. It is free to play, supports seventeen languages and needs no download.
Players who like organised competition rather than endless universes may prefer it, but treat launch timing as unconfirmed.
