How Flyff classes work
Flyff classes follow a simple branching tree. Every character starts as a Vagrant, picks one of four first jobs at level 15, then one of two second jobs at level 60. Later builds add a third job, and that last step is where servers differ most. If you are comparing Flyff private servers, the class tree below tells you what each build is likely to offer.
Wikipedia notes that the job changes are obligatory: at each required level, experience gain stops until the job quest is completed. Class details here come from Flyff fan wikis and class pages, and a few numbers disagree between sources, so we flag those. Terms like penya and Guild Siege are in the glossary.
- First job
- Level 15
- Second job

The full class tree
| First job (level 15) | Second job (level 60) | Third job |
|---|---|---|
| Mercenary | Blade | Slayer |
| Mercenary | Knight | Templar |
| Acrobat | Jester | Harlequin |
| Acrobat | Ranger | Crackshooter |
| Assist | Billposter | Force Master |
| Assist | Ringmaster | Seraph |
| Magician | Psykeeper | Mentalist |
| Magician | Elementor | Arcanist |
That makes four first jobs, eight second jobs and eight third-job upgrades, plus the Vagrant, for 21 classes. Flyffipedia, a fan database, lists the same 21 classes in four tiers: Beginner for levels 1 to 15, Expert for 15 to 60, Professional for 60 to 165 and Specialist for 165 to 190. Classic builds put the third job at level 130 instead, so the tier boundaries depend on the version.
Reading the tree is easy once you spot the pattern: each first job splits into exactly two second jobs, and each second job has exactly one third-job upgrade. Mercenary leads to Blade or Knight, Acrobat to Jester or Ranger, Assist to Billposter or Ringmaster, and Magician to Psykeeper or Elementor. Because the path is a straight line after level 60, the choice that matters most is the second job, since it fixes your weapon, your role in a party and the third job you grow into.
| Class | Weapons | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Blade | Dual swords or axes | Single-target damage |
| Knight | Two-handed sword or axe | Tank and area damage |
| Jester | Yo-yo | Burst and disruption |
| Ranger | Bow | Ranged area damage |
| Billposter | Knuckle and shield | Self-buffed brawler |
| Ringmaster | Stick | Healer and support |
| Psykeeper | Wand and shield | Control mage |
| Elementor | Staff | Elemental area mage |
What changes after the second job
Beyond the second job, names and caps vary. Wikipedia says reaching the maximum level in all skills requires becoming a level 60 Master, and that eligible Hero or Master players can be voted Lord of their server for two weeks. Idle Skies describes its progression as Vagrant to Master to Hero with a Hero level cap of 140, built on a classic V15 base.
On private servers the later tiers are where you notice the difference. Vengeance Games lists Hero dungeons and awakening mechanics next to a level 175 ceiling, Idle Skies markets automatic questing and farming through the same Vagrant, Master and Hero progression, and Adrenaline MMO keeps classic gameplay at level 150. The early tree is the same everywhere, so judge a server by what happens after the second job.
| Server | Rates | What the site states about levels or classes |
|---|---|---|
| Adrenaline MMO | 10x EXP and drops | Classic gameplay, maximum level 150, dedicated classes page |
| Vengeance Games | 60x EXP | Top ten led by level 175 characters; Hero dungeons and awakenings |
| Idle Skies | 20x EXP, 10x drops | Classic V15 base, Hero level cap 140, open beta |
| Lumenia Reborn | 10x EXP, 100x drops | Version 21 client package |
| Myths of Etheria | 5x EXP | More than 165 changes and custom systems |
Picking a first job
- 1
Start from the weapon you like
Mercenary uses swords and axes, Acrobat bows or yo-yos, Assist sticks or knuckles, and Magician wands or staves. The weapon is the clearest difference between branches.
- 2
Decide between solo and party play
Support jobs such as Ringmaster and Seraph are described as healers and party support, while Blade and Jester are described as damage dealers. Match the role to how you like to play.
- 3
Check the server's rates and cap
A low-rate server means a longer stay at each tier. A high-rate server skips quickly to the third job. Read how to choose a server.
- 4
Look for class changes in the patch notes
Infernal MMO and Lumenia Reborn publish dated news, and Lumenia highlighted a class in a recent post. Servers that rebalance classes say so in their notes.
Flyff Universe versus a private server tree
Flyff Universe (official)
- Browser-based successor launched in 2022
- Published by Gala Lab Corp. since 2022 per Wikipedia
- Fixed class roster set by the publisher
- Updated through official patch notes
Private servers
- Custom caps such as 140, 150 or 175
- Some add awakenings, custom dungeons or idle play
- Rates from 5x to 60x on the servers we checked
- Quality and longevity vary by team
Servers, takedowns and safety
Flyff private servers have been under pressure. A community site reports that a wave of takedown notices hit the scene in February 2026, and you should expect some servers to rename or disappear. Check recent patch notes before investing time, and use the safety guide for downloads and passwords.
“DMCA takedown notices were sent to approximately 90% of all Flyff private servers”
- Download clients only from the server's own site; Villain MMO notes antivirus may flag the old Flyff client.
- Prefer servers with dated patch notes; check the status page, the most voted list and the history of private servers for context.
- Read private vs official servers for the trade-offs.
