How class choice works in Cabal Online
Cabal Online is a Korean action MMORPG from ESTsoft, released in South Korea in October 2005. Its classes mix swordplay with a magical energy called Force, and the skill chaining called combo mode is what sets the game apart from many rivals. If you plan to try the game on a community realm, browse Cabal Online private servers after you read this.
This guide describes each class in plain terms, explains combos and nations, and shows how listed private servers present their class lists. Terms like WEXP and EP are defined in the glossary.

Warrior through Dark Mage
Capella or Procyon
One detail to know up front: Wikipedia's text says there are eight classes but describes nine, treating the Dark Mage as the last class the game introduced. Servers that run later episodes show all nine.
The nine classes at a glance
| Class | Type | How Wikipedia describes it |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Melee | Sword user that uses Force to enhance physical abilities |
| Blader | Fast melee | Known for dodging, accuracy and critical hits |
| Wizard | Magic | Basic magic user with area damage and crowd control |
| Force Archer | Ranged support | Manipulates Force rather than amplifying it; strong healing and buffs |
| Force Shielder | Tank | Creates an Astral Shield for high defense |
| Force Blader | Magic swordsman | Curse-based debuffs; the most flexible and time-consuming class to develop |
| Gladiator | Melee | Builds a Rage resource and fights with the Chakram weapon |
| Force Gunner | Long range | Sniping with area damage and critical attacks |
| Dark Mage | Caster | Uses Orbs, with Intelligence as the main stat |
Combo mode, battle modes and nations
Combo Mode is a special skill unlocked through ranking quests. According to Wikipedia, it lets you use several skills in succession when you press the combo meter at the correct moment. Battle Modes are a separate set of special skills that grant temporary bonuses.
Nations are the other pillar. At level 52, players who complete the nation quest join either Capella or Procyon, or remain Neutral, which restricts access to Nation War. Nation Wars last one hour, with both sides fighting for key locations guarded by Legacy Guardians and aiming at the enemy's main base.
How private servers present classes
Most listed servers keep the nine-class roster, but they differ in start level, episode and extras. The table compares what each site says about itself.
| Server | Episode | Class information shown |
|---|---|---|
| Cabal Aura X | Episode 35 | Nine classes, from Warrior to Dark Mage; leaderboard shows level 200 at the top |
| Mythic Cabal | EP35 to EP44 content | Nine base classes with named advanced paths; starts at level 100 |
| Cabal Zythera | Episode 39 | Nine classes, plus EP39 systems named Myth Mastery, Artifact, Magic Tech and ToD B4F |
| Cabal Synergy | Episode 35, medium | Nine classes shown with Portuguese names, Brazilian community |
| Requiem (Fire realm) | Episode 36 | Level cap of 169, announced for 20 October 2026 |
| Base class | Advanced path |
|---|---|
| Warrior | Heavy Vanguard |
| Blader | Dual Blade |
| Wizard | Elemental Sage |
| Force Archer | Arcane Marksman |
| Force Shielder | Aegis Knight |
| Force Blader | Spellblade |
| Gladiator | Rage Breaker |
| Force Gunner | Cannon Specialist |
| Dark Mage | Forbidden Arts |
The names above are the server's own labels, so do not expect them on a different realm. For later-episode realms, the EP39 servers page groups the servers that offer the newest systems, while the EP35 servers page lists the older builds.
Why the class list depends on the region
The official game has moved between publishers, which is one reason community servers grew. The timeline below is taken from Wikipedia's article and shows how many regional services have changed hands.
| When | What happened |
|---|---|
| October 2005 | Released in South Korea by ESTsoft |
| February 2008 | North American launch through OGPlanet |
| 3 December 2009 | Gameforge begins publishing in Germany |
| 31 March 2010 | OGPlanet's North American service ends and ESTsoft resumes service |
| 8 April 2018 | The sequel, Cabal 2, is shut down |
Because each region patched at its own pace, a class that exists on one service can be missing from another. Private servers settle this by picking an episode, such as EP35 or EP39, and keeping that content fixed. The existing private server history article explains the wider pattern, and private vs official servers compares the two options.
Choosing a class and a server
- 1
Match the episode
Class skills and balance change between episodes, so a guide for EP35 may not fit an EP39 realm.
- 2
Check the start level
A server that begins at level 100, like Mythic Cabal, lets you test a class immediately, while others make you level through the early zones.
- 3
Read the rates
High-rate realms change how fast classes come online. Cabal high-rate servers compares them, and understanding server rates explains the numbers.
- 4
Look for a class reset
Ask on Discord whether stat points or classes can be reset, because not every server allows it.
- 5
Verify the site
Download the client from the official page or pinned Discord post. The safety guide explains what to check.
