What is a Cabal Online private server?

A Cabal Online private server is a community-operated version of the action MMORPG known for its skill combo system and fast, flashy combat. These servers use modified server files and their own client, and they are run by independent teams who decide on the episode, rates and custom content.

Players return to Bloody Ice, Desert Scream, Green Despair and Port Lux to level, run dungeons and fight in Nation War between Capella and Procyon. Private servers usually keep the original structure but streamline the grind.

Cabal Online is a Korean action MMORPG by ESTsoft released in 2005, set in Nevareth and known for its combo system, Force classes and Nation War between Capella and Procyon. The official game progresses through numbered episodes, and regional servers have shut down or changed publishers, which is why private servers keep alive episodes such as EP33, EP35, EP39 and later with custom rates and systems.

Cabal Online versions explained

Almost every private server picks one version of the game and sticks to it, so the version decides which content, classes and mechanics you get. Use this table to match a version to the style you want, then filter the server list accordingly.

The episode ladder on listed realms

Cabal servers declare an episode, and the episode decides which systems exist. Instead of one shared roadmap, each operator picks a point on the ladder. Here is what the realm sites currently show.

Episodes and notable details by realm
RealmEpisodeDetail from its site
Northern Light CabalEP33 / EP35Listed with x1000 EXP, x500 skill EXP and x500 drops
Aura XEP35Premium bonuses, rankings for combat power and Mission War
Cabal SynergyEP35, mediumBrazilian server with nine classes shown in Portuguese
Requiem Ice realmEP35Ultra high rate with max stats

Cabal ZytheraEP39Myth Mastery, Artifact, Magic Tech and ToD B4F systems
Mythic CabalEP35 to EP44 contentLevel 100 start, Max Transcender Skill, Honor Rank 20

Realms also differ in what surrounds the episode. Mythic Cabal lists an Adjust Power System, a Hall of Champions ranking and a Mythic Guidebook, Aura X advertises a legendary weapon, the Saint Forcecalibur, with a holder shown for each class, and Cabal Zythera plans rankings for level, honor, Alz, guild and nation that were not yet live when its page was checked. Features that are listed as planned are not the same as features that exist, so look for a screenshot or a dated news post.

For older content, see the EP35 realms; for the newest systems, the EP39 realms.

Rates and bonuses side by side

Rate wording is not standardised. Aura X lists percentages, while Northern Light Cabal lists multipliers. A +1000% bonus and an x1000 multiplier are not necessarily the same thing, because one adds to the base rate and the other multiplies it.

Regional scene and community

Language and region matter in Cabal more than in many games, because Mission War and Nation War depend on players being online together. Cabal Divine lists EUR, SEA, NA and BR regional channels, Cabal Synergy presents itself as a Brazilian server, and Rise Cabal shows two realms, Frost and Flame, that share one account.

Starter packs, events and timing

Several realms hand out starter content. Mythic Cabal advertises a starter package with a Shadowtitan Set +15, accessories, a +5 Chaos Item and 3,000 Craft Amity, and runs a Flower's Box event with a box priced at 10,000,000 Alz. Check what an event costs and when it ends before you plan around it.

Timing is part of choosing: Requiem's medium-rate Fire realm is announced for 20 October 2026, so waiting gives you a fresh start on a slow-progress realm. For quick access to endgame, the high-rate realms page is the better fit. If you are unsure, how to choose a private server walks through the checklist.

How Cabal Online private servers work

A private server is software that re-implements the game's back end so the official or a patched client can connect to it. For Cabal Online the common building blocks are Custom server cores, rarely public. Client episodes must match the server; EP39 clients differ from EP35 clients.

How private servers differ from the official game

Official Cabal kept adding episodes, classes and systems over time, along with a cash shop that sold upgrade materials and convenience. Private servers often settle on a specific episode, then increase experience, skill experience and drop rates so players can reach the endgame faster.

Many servers also add custom dungeons, costumes, events and achievements. Some aim for a classic feel with modest rates, while others are high-rate servers focused on upgrading gear and PvP.

Episodes, classes and rates

Servers are described by episode. Earlier episodes keep the original six classes: Warrior, Blader, Wizard, Force Archer, Force Shielder and Force Blader. Later episodes add classes such as the Gladiator, Force Gunner and Dark Mage, along with new maps, dungeons, gear tiers and systems like Battle Mode improvements and the Force Wing.

Combat revolves around skill combos: chaining skills in time with the combo bar to deal bonus damage. Battle Mode, aura and buff timing matter a lot at higher levels, and Nation War is the central PvP event. Rates cover experience, skill experience, drops and Alz, the in-game currency. Low-rate servers keep gear and upgrades meaningful, while high-rate servers shift the focus to endgame dungeons and PvP quickly.

How to choose a Cabal server

Check the population during your usual hours and whether Nation War is balanced between Capella and Procyon. An empty or one-sided war removes much of the endgame. Choose an episode that includes the classes and dungeons you want and confirm the level cap.

Read what the cash shop offers. Costumes, pets and convenience items are common, but selling upgrade cores, slot extenders or top-tier weapons can make the server pay-to-win. Look for active staff, regular updates and visible measures against speed hacks and bots, since these are common problems in fast action combat.

Getting started

New characters choose a class, start in Bloody Ice and follow the quest line, which explains combos, Battle Mode and the basics of skill ranks. Practise combos early on weaker monsters, because timing becomes far more important in dungeons and PvP. Many servers give starter packs with gear and consumables, so check your inventory and the server's beginner guide.

Save Alz for upgrade materials and slot extensions rather than mid-level gear you will replace. Party dungeons are the main source of good drops and experience, so join a guild or the server's Discord to find groups. Choose your nation carefully when the time comes, considering where your friends and guild are and which side needs players for Nation War.

Read the server's custom features list as well, since many servers add new dungeons, events and achievement rewards that are worth planning around.

Staying safe

Cabal Online private servers are unofficial and not affiliated with or endorsed by the game's developer or publishers. Download clients and launchers only from the server's official website and scan them with antivirus software before running.

Use a unique password for each server, enable any secondary password or PIN the server offers, and never share your account with anyone promising free Alz, upgrades or leveling.

Keep exploring

Still deciding? Compare Cabal Online servers by votes, rates and recent activity, read the glossary for any unfamiliar terms, and check a server's status before you download anything. If you run a server yourself, listing it is free.
