What is a Conquer Online private server?
Conquer Online is a free-to-play 2.5D MMORPG set in ancient China, developed by TQ Digital Entertainment, a subsidiary of NetDragon Websoft, and launched in 2003. Early client versions (the 1.0 and 2.0 generation, patches in the 5000s) feature four core classes, the Twin City hub, rebirths, Meteors and Dragon Balls for gear upgrades and large-scale guild wars. Players who miss that era, or want faster rates and fewer paid shortcuts, run or join private servers, which mostly rebuild or re-host specific client patches such as 5017, 5065, 5095 or 5165. The scene is large, fragmented and heavily Discord-driven, with many short-lived launches alongside a few long-running communities.

Conquer Online versions explained
Almost every private server picks one version of the game and sticks to it, so the version decides which content, classes and mechanics you get. Use this table to match a version to the style you want, then filter the server list accordingly.
| Version | Period | What it is | Typical servers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Patch 5017 | early client generation | Oldest widely available private-server client; documented in forum setup guides and used by servers like Zephyr Conquer. | Strict classic, guild-war focused |
| Patch 5065 | classic generation | Four classes, Twin City, two rebirths, forging to +12; used by Aurenfall, Gravak and the Preservation Project. | Classic or preservation, often fresh-start |
| Patch 5095 | classic generation | Popular classic base with old classes and +12 gear; many servers add medium or boosted rates. | Classic PvP, semi-hard or 50x EXP variants |
| Patch 5165 | classic generation | Later classic build with additional features; commonly referred to as 'classic' by new servers (verify per server). | Classic with modern systems |
| Patch 5731 / 56xx | mid generation | Adds later systems such as Battle Power; used by Conquer 2012 (5731) and Conquest-War (56XX). | International PvP with tournaments |
| Patch 6609 and 6159 | late generation | Later content including Ninja, Monk and Pirate classes; used by Void Conquer, Dopamine, Ancient Conquer. | High-rate, seasonal or event-heavy |
| v7900 (3D) | modern 3D client | 3D client generation offered as a separate realm by BetoConquer. | Modern-style realm alongside 2D realms |
Conquer Online rates and terms you will see
| Term | What it means | Typical range |
|---|---|---|
| EXP rate | Multiplier on experience from kills. | x1 classic to x100 on high-rate servers (Iron Lotus x50, Void Conquer x100 advertised) |
| Spell/proficiency rate | How fast weapon proficiency and spell skill levels rise; kept at 1x on some boosted servers. | 1x on Iron Lotus |
| Drop rate | Chance and quality of item, Meteor and Dragon Ball drops; often expressed as 'medium' or 'random CPs'. | Varies; stated as 2x on Frozen |
| Socket/forge rate | Odds of successful gear upgrades; 'hard' socket rates make high-plus gear scarce. | Not numeric on most sites |
| Max plus | Highest gear upgrade level (plus value) available. | +9 to +12 on the servers checked |
Conquer Online server types
| Type | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Classic / preservation (5017-5165) | Players who want the original-era balance and four classes. | Small fresh-start populations; confirm the real patch number on the site. |
| Boosted-rate classic | Quick levelling on old clients. | Economy inflation and short lifespans. |
| Mid and late-era (56xx-6609) | Players who want Ninja, Monk and Battle Power content. | Heavy CP shops; check what the shop sells. |
| Seasonal / hardcore | Competitive resets and fresh starts. | Wipes erase progress. |
Caps, plus levels and rebirths compared
Two servers on the same patch can progress very differently, because each operator sets its own caps. The sites below publish enough detail to compare.
| Server | Patch | Max level | Gear and rebirth notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| TQ Twin City | Classic | 130 | Max plus +6; two rebirths; hard socket rate |
| CO Preservation Project | 5065 | 135 | Upgrades beyond +9 unlock at level 130; two rebirths |
| TalesCO | Classic custom | 137 | Tier caps rise to 2nd Reborn, +12 and -7 |
| Aurenfall | Classic | Not stated | Second rebirth available after the first |
| Void Conquer | 6609 | Not stated | Season gear equalised to +8 at the latest start |
Features differ even inside the classic group. The CO Preservation Project lists custom quest chapters that reward equipment, items and EXP, custom maps reached through the Guild Conductress, and an in-game DPS meter, while TQ Twin City highlights a VIP system with teleport shortcuts and a Discord link that earns extra online points. None of these are part of the patch, they are choices by the operator, which is why two 5065 realms can feel different.
If you want the full original progression, look at patch 5065 servers; for a different balance, patch 5095 realms often add boosted rates.
Seasons, resets and event timing
Many Conquer realms run on a calendar. Void Conquer lists a new season starting on 15 October 2026 with all gear equalised to +8. Aurenfall's latest patch note, dated 19 September 2026, doubled experience again to 4x, and it runs double experience every weekend from 19:00 to 20:00 server time.
| Server | Item | Date or time |
|---|---|---|
| Void Conquer | New season, gear equalised to +8 | 15 October 2026 |
| Aurenfall | Experience doubled to 4x | 19 September 2026 patch note |
| Aurenfall | Weekend double experience | 19:00 to 20:00 server time |
| TalesCO | Four-class classic server with tier roadmap | Launched 1 October 2026 |
| Nox Conquer | Patch 5095, Season One | Season-based |
How rate styles differ in practice
Rates are quoted differently on every site, so a number only makes sense next to the rest of the server. Iron Lotus runs 50x EXP but keeps spell and proficiency at 1x so players train. Gravak lists 5x EXP, Void Conquer advertises x100, and Aurenfall sits at 4x after its September patch while adding daily bonuses.
| Server | Headline rate | Other rate details |
|---|---|---|
| Iron Lotus CO | 50x EXP | Spell and proficiency 1x; patch 5095 files |
| Gravak | 5x EXP | Patch 5065 |
| Void Conquer | x100 EXP | Seasonal restarts, patch 6609 |
| Aurenfall | 4x EXP | Blessed players get one free double-experience hour daily; a Meteor per 500 kills and a Dragon Ball at 5,000 kills as guaranteed daily drops |
| Frozen Conquer | 2x drops | 3x mining |
The point is to match a rate to how much time you have. A short, fast realm suits players who like fresh starts, while a slow classic realm rewards long sessions. Our understanding server rates article explains the terms, and the late-era 6xxx servers list collects the higher-rate seasonal realms.
Language, hosting and platform notes
The scene is broader than English servers. The Spanish-language Conquer Online servers page covers a Spanish community, and TQ Twin City says it uses a North American host with routing optimised for Europe and the UK. BetoConquer lists three separate realms for v5095, v6609 and v7900.
| Server | Client note |
|---|---|
| TQ Twin City | Windows only; roughly 700MB archive that patches itself on launch |
| CO Preservation Project | Windows client recommended; browser version needs WebGPU and is in beta |
| Iron Lotus CO | Files are patch 5095; max 3 accounts per PC |
| BetoConquer | Three realms: v5095, v6609 and v7900 (3D) |
Check the client size and platform before you commit, and use a fresh account as advised in the safety guide.

How Conquer Online private servers work
A private server is software that re-implements the game's back end so the official or a patched client can connect to it. For Conquer Online the common building blocks are Custom servers (C#, Rust and others); source families discussed on elitepvpers such as CoEmu and Cofuture (forum references). Windows-focused; the Preservation Project also offers a WebGPU browser client. Patch number determines available classes and systems.
How to choose a Conquer Online server
Work through this checklist before you commit time or money to any server:
- Which exact client patch (5017, 5065, 5095, 5165, 6609...) is used?
- Are Ninja, Monk and Pirate classes enabled or disabled?
- EXP, spell, proficiency and drop rates stated clearly?
- Max level, rebirth count and max plus gear?
- What does the CP shop sell?
- Is the Discord invite valid and active?
- Recent news, patch notes or event dates on the site?
- How many accounts per PC are allowed?
- Hosting region and expected latency?
- Does the server run seasons or wipes?
Safety, scams and legality
- Download clients only from the server's own site and scan them; run unfamiliar installers in a standard account.
- Never share your account password or warehouse password; use a unique password.
- Check the donation shop for pay-to-win items before spending.
- Treat 'players online' counters on homepages as marketing; compare with Discord presence.
- Private servers are unofficial and not affiliated with TQ Digital; terms and legality vary by region.
