About UO Outlands
UO Outlands is a free-to-play shard that launched in October 2018 and bills itself as one of the largest freeshards. It uses a custom installation delivered by its own launcher, because the world has a new map, new monster animations, new clothing and hues and many custom systems. The About page lists a skill cap of 700 (720 with Skill Mastery), a stat cap of 225, a Felucca ruleset, three accounts per IP, five characters per account and one house per account.
Only ClassicUO and Razor are permitted as clients and both are bundled. The news page carries regular patch notes (latest 12 October), seasonal events such as Shroomtober and a Zucchini Harvestmaster contest, and a yearly King's Faire. Houses, rental vendors and a vendor search tool support a player-run economy.
It is aimed at players who want a deep, constantly developed custom world rather than a recreation of a single OSI era.
