Best Metin2 PvM-PvP Private Servers
PvM-PvP servers combine monster farming with player combat. You level, destroy Metin stones, run dungeons and hunt bosses to collect gear, then use it in duels and guild wars. Progression usually takes longer than on pure PvP servers, and the economy matters more. Look for balanced rates, active dungeons and a shop that does not replace farming.

Metin2 Break is a fresh and balanced server designed for both PvM and PvP enthusiasts, with constant updates and community support.
What is a Metin2 private server?
A Metin2 private server is a community-run version of the martial arts MMORPG set across three warring kingdoms. These servers run on modified server files and their own client, and they are operated by independent teams who choose the level cap, rates, systems and custom content.
Players return to destroy Metin stones, hunt bosses, upgrade gear at the blacksmith and fight for Shinsoo, Chunjo or Jinno. The flexible files have produced a huge variety of servers, from faithful oldschool recreations to heavily customised PvP worlds.
How private servers differ from the official game
The official game kept adding level caps, systems and item mall features over time. Private servers usually lock in a ruleset and tune it, with higher experience and drop rates, faster upgrading and more generous bonus switching. Many add quality-of-life features such as teleport rings, auto-pickup, extended inventories or shop search.
Monetisation also differs. Most private servers fund themselves through an item shop, and the range is wide: from cosmetics and convenience to direct sales of powerful items. Understanding the shop is one of the most important steps before choosing a server.
Server types, level caps and classes
Oldschool servers often cap at level 99 or 105, keeping the classic maps, items and slower pace. Middle-school and newschool servers raise the cap to 120 or beyond and include later systems such as dragon stone alchemy, costumes with bonuses, pets and newer dungeons. PvP servers start players at a high level with gear readily available, so fights begin almost immediately. PvM-PvP servers balance monster farming and boss hunting with player combat.
There are five classes: Warrior, Ninja, Sura, Shaman and, on servers that include it, the Lycan. Each has two skill paths, such as Body or Mental for Warriors, Blade or Archery for Ninjas, Weaponry or Black Magic for Suras, and Dragon or Healing for Shamans. Bonus values on gear, such as average damage or critical hit, define how strong a build becomes.
How to choose a Metin2 server
Decide between oldschool, PvM-PvP and pure PvP first, then check the level cap and the systems included. Look at the population during your usual hours, kingdom balance and whether guild wars and events are active.
Read the item shop carefully. Costumes, convenience items and switchers available through play are common. Selling top weapons, high-bonus items or stones of the strongest grade can make the server pay-to-win. Look for active staff, a published changelog and clear action against bots, multi-farming and speed hacks.
Getting started
Pick your kingdom and class, then follow the server's starter quests. Many servers give a starter pack with a mount, gear and potions, plus teleport rings to reach farming maps quickly. Learn your skill path early, since the choice between two paths is made around level 5 and changes your role.
Focus on destroying Metin stones and completing biologist and dungeon quests as you level, because they provide experience, skill books and upgrade materials. Save yang for blacksmith upgrades and bonus switching rather than temporary gear. Join a guild for dungeon runs, guild wars and advice on the server's custom systems, and use the server's Discord to keep up with events and updates.
Staying safe
Metin2 private servers are unofficial and not affiliated with or endorsed by the game's developer or publishers. Download clients and patchers only from the server's official website and scan them before running. Avoid third-party bots and hacks, which are a common source of malware.
Use a unique password for each server and enable any account protection the server offers. Never share your account or warehouse password with players promising free yang, upgrades or leveling.
